Receiving the Dark: Restorative poses and breath work to welcome in the new year.

December 31, 2011 (Saturday)

10 am–12:00 noon

Unity Woods, Bethesda (near Bethesda Metro stop)
4853 Cordell Ave. (Suite Penthouse-7, 16th floor)

Much of yoga literature emphasizes the light; but there is great benefit to be gained from the darkness, if we have the stillness to receive it. In Rocky's popular annual fundraising workshop, we follow the promptings of winter: to slow down, turn inward, and rest deeply in preparation for the coming year. Proceeds will go to the Center for Constitutional Rights.

Completion of Level I.

$30.00 (tax-deductible) cash or check contribution made out to "Center For Constitutional Rights".

Since 1966, the Center for Constitutional Rights has remained dedicated to defending and advancing the rights guaranteed by the United States Constitution and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Our work began on behalf of civil rights activists in the Jim Crow South and the racist North, and continues to be at the forefront of the fight for social justice. Groundbreaking work by CCR is made possible with the generous support of donors like you.
